   I’ afraid that scientists are cruel people and do not care about which animal they abuse or ‘cleanse’.

   That said we have no official confirmation from the animal facility that the chicken is actually dead. One can always have hope.

   I couldn’t understand some parts of this article Life of Lab animals - lab animal cruelty, but I guess I just need to check some more resources regarding this, because it sounds interesting.
